Getting around

Bottom-left joystick: hold and drag to move forward, backward or sideways. Release to stop. Movement follows the direction you look.

Drag the scene: look in any direction while walking with your other thumb. Pinch to zoom. Walk up or down either side of the gate platform and the main staircase; you can also explore beneath the gallery.

The Locations button opens the three worlds: Atlantis, Earth orbit and Stargate Command. Optional viewpoints for your current world are inside the folded section below. Settings contains Replay. The eye button hides the controls; tap it again to bring them back. You can still look around with the controls hidden.

Control station: walk up to the gallery or use its shortcut. Tap Open or Close on the first console. Its screen tracks the eight chevrons of the intergalactic connection. Dragging across the console still lets you look around.

Travel: open the gate, wait for a stable wormhole and walk into it. Each journey takes about seven seconds. Follow the loop: Atlantis → ship in Earth orbit → Stargate Command → Atlantis. Controls disappear during travel; drag to look around freely. Location shortcuts also let you switch worlds directly.

On PC, choose Start exploring to capture the mouse. Move your mouse to look around. Hold right click to walk forward; release to stop. Use arrow keys or WASD / ZQSD to walk in any direction. Aim the centre dot at the gate or a console: it lights up and shows the action. Left click to activate. Press Esc to open the menu and free the cursor. Choose Resume exploring to continue.

On Meta Quest 3, open the VR experience and select Explore in VR to explore with your controllers.

About this creation

The ship room is an original creation inspired by Earth vessels in Stargate. Earth uses historical NASA Blue Marble textures with clouds and an atmosphere. NASA sources and credits. Mars: Solar System Scope / INOVE · CC BY 4.0. Star catalogue and Milky Way: HYG star catalogue and NASA/ESA galactic light. The connection between Atlantis and Earth uses eight chevrons; an address within the same galaxy uses seven.

An interactive tribute to Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, made for the fans who always wanted to step through. Geometry, materials and animation are generated in code. An independent, noncommercial fan project, unaffiliated with the Stargate rights holders.
